Who can join?
ASF Perth is open to all people, regardless of their employment status, religion, or political opinion and, provided the following conditions are met:- You are not a paid official of a trade union or a craft union, or an office-bearer of a political party or religious organisation.
- You do not have the powers of hiring and firing in your occupation.
It is important to remember that you do not need to identify as an anarchist to join the ASF, the remaining requirement is that you read and agree with the Constitution.
If you meet the conditions above, you can attend any meeting and express your interest in joining. This will be recorded in the meeting minutes and your application will be in preliminary status, this provides you with a month to ask any questions, and to further your understanding of the structures of anarchism; any member will be happy to help, at a meeting or not. After a month, you will become a full member of ASF Perth, provided there is no issues.
We practice this process to ensure that all members have the same understanding of the aims and principles of anarchism, so we can freely associate with each other to achieve our far reaching aims to bring about a new society, one in which we live in harmony with the Earth.
How to pay membership fees?
ASF Perth schedules it membership fees based on what is voted in at a ASF-IWA Congress, currently, the fees are:- Waged/salaried member is $60 per year
- Unwaged member is $30 per year
Fees can be personally delivered to the Treasurer (asf-perth@riseup.net), or the Secretary. You can also electronically transfer fees to the following financial institution:
